Itinerary
Day 1 Colombo
Arrive in Colombo and transfer to your hotel. Rest and recover from your flight. Take a short evening walk to experience the city atmosphere. Overnight stay in the capital.
Day 2 Yala
Travel south to Yala National Park. Check in to your lodge near the park. Head out on an evening safari to spot elephants and birdlife. Relax overnight in the wilderness.
Day 3 Yala
Begin with a morning safari in search of leopards and other wildlife. Enjoy the scenery of grasslands and lagoons. Return to your lodge for lunch and leisure. Stay overnight near the park.
Day 4 Udawalawe
Drive to Udawalawe National Park. Take an afternoon safari to see elephants and water buffalo. Visit a nearby village for a cultural experience. Overnight stay near the park.
Day 5 Udawalawe
Start the day with a morning safari and visit the Elephant Transit Home. In the afternoon walk along the riverbanks and enjoy birdwatching. Learn about local conservation efforts. Spend the night in Udawalawe.
Day 6 Tangalle
Continue to the laid-back beaches of Tangalle. Stop at a waterfall on the way for photos and relaxation. Enjoy a swim or sunset walk on the beach. Overnight stay in a coastal resort.
Day 7 Tangalle
Spend the morning at leisure by the ocean. Visit a turtle hatchery to learn about conservation. Take a guided tour of nearby coastal villages. Relax by the beach in the evening.
